We were so excited when Papaw and Nana came for a visit. They were on a mission trip to Bolivia and decided to come visit us before heading home.
The great thing is we got to spend time with them. The bad thing is, since we were just enjoying them being here, I didn’t stop to take many pictures unfortunately.

I love these men.

We played a lot of cards. Papaw taught Tucker a magic card trick and he has been blowing everybody’s minds here with it ever since.

The boys have grown so much. Mason is now taller than Papaw.

After being in Bolivia for ten days, Nana and Papaw were still willing to come serve with us. Papaw helped with sweeping and painting and Nana helped with sweeping and taking pictures of the kids at the new location.

They were even able to get a chance to watch Tucker during tennis practice.

We went out for coffee one afternoon at Jull’s, Nana and Trevor said their cappuccinos were great and Papaw got a kick out of the pour over service at the table for his coffee.

We went to Ursulão for dinner one night too. We spent much of the time just talking and hanging out.

And just like that their visit was over. They had an early flight and Liandro was taking Roberto’s parents to the airport the same morning and he was meeting a friend at the airport so he drove all of them to the airport. Mason went to be the translator. He said everyone was pretty quiet and there wasn’t much need for translating. Later we got this picture from Liandro. Hum?

After Papaw and Nana left, it was back to work. We worked some more to get the building ready to receive kids.

Although, the whole project isn’t complete yet, we were able to get the main room ready so the kids could start using it, which was a huge blessing. No more tent, yay!

Chris talked with the kids all week about The Two Easters. The one with the candy and bunny, but how that one still left us with an empty hole but how a Christ centered Easter left us with an empty grave.

We celebrated Easter at home. This is the first Easter in Brazil we have spent together because last Easter the boys were at English Camp. I was happy to spend it together this year even if it was pretty low key. We streamed service from back home and the boys each received chocolate eggs. Brazilians don’t really do Easter baskets, but these chocolate eggs are super popular.
And now we start planning for English camp, regular camp, devotionals, English class, getting all the child sponsorship information updated for the new semester, and preparing for THREE teams that will be arriving back to back in June. It takes a lot of prep work to manage all the pieces but we like being busy.
